Investigaciones Andina is a semi-yearly publication, from the Fundacion Universitaria del Area Andina Seccional Pereira.  It has been edited since April 2000 in the city of Pereira in the Coffee growing region of Colombia.  This publication is directed to health professionals, students and investigators of health sciences.  The publication evolves as part of the process of investigation groups who intend to contribute in the decision making process of the public and private sectors in health areas, with their scientific evidences derived from their original work and/or systematic revisions of literature, as well as to contribute with the scientific formation of students pre and post graduation.

Its abbreviated title is Investig. andina, and it should be used in bibliographies, footnotes, references and bibliographic strips.
