"Memorias" is a peer-reviewed journal that aims to divulge scientific and theoretical knowledge that is being produced in the areas of history, archeology, sociology, and anthropology from and about the Greater Caribbean region.

The articles in the journal are unpublished works that present recent research results, reflections, and bibliographical revisions from national and international scholars. There are also bibliographical review articles and reflections on discussions that are taking place both nationally and internationally. The journal also includes a section for young researchers where they present findings of current research and literature reviews, and a space for the recovery of visual and documented memory of the region. This semestrial journal began in 2004, and is produced by the Department of History and Social Sciences of the Universidad del Norte.

Articles published in Memorias are indexed or abstracted in:
