The MEDICINA U. P. B. journal was founded in 1981 and is the official publication of the School of Health Sciences at the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana in Medellin, Colombia. The main objective of this journal is to publish articles of prime academic and scientific quality that discuss topics pertaining to basic and clinical health sciences, public health, health administration, and other related fields. Frequency of Publication Biannually

Its abbreviated title is Med. U. P. B., and it should be used in bibliographies, footnotes, references and bibliographic strips.
