Perfil de Coyuntura Económica is intended for all of those interested in specific areas concerning the country’s current macroeconomic situation. It is published every six months and offers analysis regarding recent economic situation and issues of greater depth and academic rigor about macroeconomic phenomena of both national and international extent.

Likewise, in some cases, the progresses and results of the research activities conducted by the Applied Macroeconomics Group from the Department of Economics at the University of Antioquia, are presented.

Hence, the main objective of Perfil de Coyuntura Económica is to permanently analyze the main events of short and medium run that describe both Colombian and global macroeconomic performance. Similarly, the journal aims to study the recent economic policy and to present an economic outlook about the future development of Colombian economy.
