Pensamiento Psicológicois a peer-reviewed scientific journal which offers an opportunity for the publication of research findings in the field of basic and applied psychology, and of disciplines related to mental health, human welfare and the quality of life. Since its foundation in 2002, its aim has been to serve as a privileged means of circulation for academics and researchers of psychology and disciplines related to national and international matters. It has a scientific committee and another formed by local and international peers whose responsibility is to review articles submitted to the Journal, which is published on a half-yearly basis by the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Cali, Colombia. Articles are published in English, Spanish and Portuguese. The readers of Pensamiento Psicológico include psychologists, social workers, sociologists, epidemiologists, anthropologists, doctors, psychiatrists, nurses, and educators, thus the Journal is circulated among professionals, technicians, researchers, professors and students of human, social academic and health sciences, in the American continent as well as in other parts of the world. We extend this invitation to the local and international scientific community to participate by sending their contributions via our on-line mailing system, in accordance with our publication guidelines which can be found on this web site.

The abbreviation for the journal title is Pensam. Psicol., which should be used in bibliographies, footnotes, legends and references.

On sending articles for publication, the author(s) accept that authors rights will be transferred to the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana Cali, for their publication in printed or electronic form.
