Form and preparation of manuscripts

EDITORIAL STANDARDS

  1. Types of articles
  2. The following types of original articles are considered for publication:

    • Article of scientific and technological research: This is a work that shows original results of theoretical and experimental, in the areas of mathematics, mathematics education and statistics.

    • Artículos de reflexión: This is a work that presents, in detail, research results from an analytical, interpretative or critical perspective, on specific topics in the areas of mathematics, mathematics education, and statistics, using original sources.

    • Artículos de revisión: This is a document that results from completed research which analyzed, systematized and integrated research findings published or not, either theoretical and applied mathematics, mathematics education, or statistics. This type of article is characterized by a careful review of the literature.

  3. Requirements for proposing and preparing manuscripts
    • Macro: Articles to be proposed to Integración The Journal for publication must be submitted in LATEX, the macro is obtained through the link http://matematicas.uis.edu.co/integracion/formato-integracion.zip.
    • Extension: Articles should not exceed 25 pages, including tables and figures.
    • Title: The title, in English and Spanish, should be brief, suitable for indexing and should describe the content of the document.
    • Abstract: All articles must be accompanied by a Abstract in English and Spanish, which may not exceed 100 words, in which abridged the main findings and conclusions of the work. Since the summary should be able to stand independently, mathematical formulas and references should be reduced to a minimum.
    • Key words and AMS classification: All articles should be accompanied by a list of keywords, in English and Spanish, and the classification of the AMS of labor issues. The classification of issues is contained in the index of Mathematical Reviews, MSC2000, and it can be accessed or viewed online at the addresshttp://www.ams.org/msc.
    • Institutional affiliation: Articles must show the name of the author or authors. For each of them should be included information about the institution, department, city, country and email.

    • References: References should be listed in alphabetical order at the end of the article, and all must be related to the content. it must be used Mathematical Reviews standards, as follows:
    • Journal Articles: The titles of journals should be abbreviated in accordance with the standards of the Mathematical Reviews, the abbreviations are available on http://www.ams.org/msnhtml/serials.pdf. Example:
    • [1] DiPerna R.J. and Lions P.L., "Ordinary differential equations, transport theory and Sobolev spaces", Invent. Math. 98 (1989), no. 3, 511–547.
    • Books, booklets, research reports: Example: [2] Chow S.N. and Hale J., Methods of Bifurcation Theory, Springer-Verlag, New York, 1982.
    • Document as collection: Example: [3] Serrin J., "Gradient estimates for solutions of nonlinear elliptic and parabolic equations", in Contributions to Nonlinear Functional Analysis (ed. Zarantonello E.H.), Academic Press (1971), 565–601.
    • In-text Citations: It must be chosen an in-text citation style and use it consistently throughout the work. To refer to a particular topic page of an article or a book, it is possible to use one of the following formats: [4], [4, p. 51]; Macdonald [4], Macdonald [4, p. 51].
    • Transfer of Copyright and Conflict of Interest agreement: All accepted paper must be accompanied by the transfer of Copyright and Conflict of Interest agreement document, which can be obtained from the website of the journal. http://matematicas.uis.edu.co/integracion/

If the article does not exceed this instance, the author will be notified. Items accepted in the first instance will be sent to specialists in the respective subjects for evaluation.
