It is responsibility of the authors to give the complete information of used bibliographic references and give the corresponding credits. Although, if own material is used, the respective credits must be given. The content of articles is full responsibility of the authors, and in no way from the journal or the entities for which authors work. The Editor’s Committee reserves the right of modify the articles' titles and to do the editorial changes that it considers relevant to give the maximum clarity to them. Therefore, it is suggested to authors to write as rigorously as possible, checking spelling and grammar, and using short and homogeneous paragraphs. Every article will be evaluated anonymously, through a process known as double-blind, by two peer reviewers designated by the Editor´s Committee. This mechanism guarantees anonymity for both authors and reviewers, who will never have contact between them, but only through the editor. The exceptions to this requirement, as well as emerged controversies in the evaluation process will be settled by Editor´s Committee. |
Ethics and publication good practices
The Revista de Investigación, Desarrollo e Innovación takes into account the “Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors” (http://publicationethics.org/files/u2/Best_Practice.pdf) and other directives of the Committee on Publication Ethics, COPE; as well as the provisions of the Hábeas Data-Ley Estatutaria 1266 de 2008, related to the personal information manipulation on databases. The following are the main ethical guides related to the authors: The journal publishes original and unpublished articles. Authors guarantee that sent material to this journal has not been published, nor it is being submitted to evaluation simultaneously to other publications or any kind of editorial entities. The corresponding author must guarantee that all co-authors have reviewed and approved the final version of the document, agreeing unanimously the version of manuscript for publishing. The content of the contributions is responsibility of authors and is not of the journal or entities for which authors work. Offering complete information about bibliographic references and giving the corresponding credits is responsibility of authors. Even though the material is owned by the author, it must be given the respective credit. Plagiarism takes many forms, from passing a document of others as their own, to copying or paraphrasing substantial parts of a document of others (without attributing acknowledgement), claiming as their own the results of research carried out by other. Plagiarism in all its forms constitutes unethical behaviour, which is unacceptable in scientific publications. The Editor will use mechanisms such as: anti-plagiarism software, database-searching, or other tools that reduce the possibilities of plagiarism in the submitted manuscripts to editorial process. |
