The Universitas Medica journal (abbreviated title univ. med.) is published quarterly by the Faculty of Medicine of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and the Hospital San Ignacio. Its mission is to publish original articles, review articles, topic reviews and reflection articles, fruit of results of Clinical and Basic Medical Research, Public Health, Epidemiology and in general issues related to teaching and care activities. The journal is aimed at professionals, teachers and students in the field of medicine and health sciences at the national and international levels. The journal "Universitas" was created in 1951 as an interdisciplinary journal of several institutions of the University Javeriana In 1958 the Faculty of Medicine created "Universitas Medica" as a continuation of Universitas. This scientific journal is registered under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license.
