^les^aEn este artículo se analizan algunas prácticas intelectuales que se van anudando al uso de los documentos públicos y privados en la práctica de la historia en la Argentina de la segunda mitad del siglo XIX. Partiendo de la "cuestión de límites", se analiza el trabajo de los bibliófilos Manuel Ricardo Trelles y Juan Martín Leguizamón; ambos pretendían reconstruir históricamente la unidad territorial de la Argentina. Muestra cómo ese trabajo se articula en el cruce de las prácticas de los anticuaria, la historia y la historia natural.^len^aThis article analyzes various intellectual practices tied to the use of public and private documents in the practice of history in Argentina over the second half of the nineteenth century. Starting from the "question of limits," this essay analyzes the work of bibliophiles Manuel Ricardo Trelles and Juan Martín Leguizamón, both of whom tried to historically reconstruct the territorial unity of Argentina. It shows how this work lies at the crossroads of antiquarian studies, History, and Natural History.
