ARRUDA, Natália da Silveira; ZEA GALLEGO, María Clara; GONZALEZ ZAPATA, Hernán Darío    VALENCIA CARDONA, Kimberly Alejandra. A Multidimensional Approach to the Analysis of the Impacts Caused by the Conditions of the Covid-19 Pandemic in the Metropolitan Area of Valle de Aburrá, Colombia. []. , 31, 2, pp.377-394.   17--2022. ISSN 0121-215X.  https://doi.org/10.15446/rcdg.v31n2.96293.

The main aim of this article is to present the analysis and results of the perception of impacts suffered by the inhabitants of the Metropolitan Area of the Aburrá Valley in terms of physical and emotional health, economic, and gender, and/or intra-family violence due to the pandemic of Covid-19 in the first semester of 2020. The project was developed by members of the GeoLab Research Team of the Environmental School, University of Antioquia. The data was collected through a virtual survey that allowed, from a quantitative approach, the creation of a multivariate index in order to characterize the levels of well-being of the people. Geospatial analysis includes the exercise of correlating the impacts of the participants with their sociodemographic and spatial conditions. In this way, it is proposed that the impacts have an additive nature that is combined with the experiences of people and their living conditions prior to the pandemic.

Highlights:

Research article that uses an intersectional analysis of the impacts on the health and well-being of people during the Covid-19 pandemic in the Metropolitan Area of the Aburrá Valley. It is done with statistical, spatial analyzes and multivariate indices. The results show the additive nature of the impacts on the different dimensions of life.
