ALCAIDE MUNOZ, Laura; RODRIGUEZ BOLIVAR, Manuel Pedro    LOPEZ HERNANDEZ, Antonio M.. BIBLIOMETRIC ANALYSIS OF ICT IMPLEMENTATION IN PUBLIC ADMINISTRATIONS: CONTRIBUTIONS AND RESEARCH OPPORTUNITIES. []. , 27, 63, pp.141-160. ISSN 0121-5051.  https://doi.org/10.15446/innovar.v26n63.60674.

Currently, e-Government is considered one of the main issues in government agendas, a central part of changes in public administrations, and an innovative feature in management and accountability. Although many research studies have underpinned this topic from different perspectives, there is no a perceived consensus among experts about its relevance for administrative change processes. Thus, the aim of this research is to enable a solid baseline for future research studies on the topic, by carrying out an analysis of the publications about the evolution of technologies for information and communication (ICT) in public administrations (e-Government), as an essential instrument for administrative changes in the journals included in the Institute for scientific Information (ISI) citation index. The bibliometric analysis highlights the degree of maturity of this topic and the need to provide e-Government with robust theories and quantitative research studies.
