Entrepreneurship is one of the main drivers of innovation, competitiveness and economic growth; therefore, it is necessary to promote entrepreneurship and encourage people to start new businesses. Public administration plays an important role at supporting and promoting entrepreneurship and new technologies, especially the Internet, and facilitating the access to information, becoming useful tools to encourage entrepreneurship. Using content analysis, this paper aims to study the level of entrepreneurship-related information provided by Alentejo region municipalities (Portugal) in their websites. Research suggests that the data provided is scarce, since most of the content disclosed is related to general information about resources and the support provided to entrepreneurs and general communications.
