GHILINI, Anabela. Gino Germani: rebellion of his disciples and refutations to scientific sociology. []. , 46, pp.253-263. ISSN 0121-7550.

The article proposes to examine the institutionalization of the Sociology Program beginning in 1957 within the framework of the modernization process and the academic renewal of the University of Buenos Aires. It mentions the scientific foundation of sociology promoted by Gino Germani who sought to consolidate an empirical sociology that was very different from social philosophy and previous existing sociological practices. It concludes that during the early sixties, "scientific sociology" was questioned by the left wing student body and by some of Germani's young followers, causing scientific activity to gradually turn from public institutions to private ones.
