OROZCO M, MARÍA CAMILA; CERON R, LUIS EDUARDO; MARTINEZ I, JUAN PABLO    OSPINA M, ROMÁN. ANALYSIS OF LANDSCAPE PATTERNS IN A BIOLOGICAL CORRIDOR OF COLOMBIAN ANDEAN, CAUCA DEPARTMENT. []. , 13, 1, pp.54-63. ISSN 1692-3561.

It was determined the spatial pattern of landscape for a proposed biological runway between the towns of Almaguer, Sucre and La Vega in the department of Cauca, whose length is 28726 ha. The analysis was conducted from the processing satellite image generating a land image using mapping GIS platforms. We developed four quadrants of spatial analysis, each one of 1600 ha, selected based on the altitudinal gradient and type of land uses present in the area. In each of the quadrants were applied landscape metrics determining diversity, richness, composition and structure of variables such as area, number of patches, largest patch index, landscape shape index, juxtaposition and connectivity index calculated with the program Fragstats ©. In the area there was found a highly fragmented ecosystem predominantly anthropogenic matrix (clean pasture). With the results there was established conservation guidelines for land uses of primary forests, operated, and riparian vegetation wasteland, while for stubble and those anthropogenic as clean pasture, crops and land mosaic degraded management guidelines were set emphasizing the biological corridor planning a strategic unit for the implementation of actions.

: Land use; conservation; fragmentation.
