El artículo argumenta que hay una relación entre el crecimiento económico y la percepción de la corrupción, ésta última, no es producto de emociones y prejuicios sociales, sino un fenómeno que se ve influido por muchos factores, entre ellos: el económico. El artículo se focaliza en la sociedad colombiana en el periodo de 2012 a 2017, primero busca entender que se entiende por ambos conceptos, qué métodos existen para cuantificarlos y analiza los resultados que se obtienen al compararlos. la investigación no busca dar conclusiones finales, sino contribuir al debate sobre el problema de la corrupción en Latinoamérica.

The article argues that there is a relationship between economic growth and the perception of corruption, the percepción is not the product of emotions and social prejudices, it is influenced by many factor, includin economic. The article is focused in Colombiann society in the period from 2012 to 2017, first seeks to understand what is meaning the concepts, what methods exist to quantify them and analyzes the results obtained when viewing them. The research does not seek gave the final results, but rather contributes to the discussion on the problema of corruption in Latinoamerica.
