Action-type research with the objective of strengthening the literacy-writing process of third-grade primary school students from Colegio Víctor Félix Gómez Nova in Piedecuesta (Colombia), through meaningful learning using stories as pedagogical resources in the development of competencies for Being, Knowing to do and Knowing to be. In the methodological development, a virtual diagnostic test was applied, then 8 workshops were designed and applied, and the experience was documented through the field diary and the students' production in the form of texts, drawings and artistic expression. The results showed advances In the process of reading comprehension, identification of a problem, characterization of characters, identification of main and secondary ideas, and realization of inferences, besides textual and graphic production; There was growing motivation and interest in activities, the appropriation and contextualization of the story and the generation of knowledge.
