Abstract
MCNEIL F, Alejandro and MALAVER R, Rodrigo. Language, argumentation and construction of identity. Folios [online]. 2010, n.31, pp.123-132. ISSN 0123-4870.
The purpose of this article is to animate a discussion regarding the dynamics that language generates in argumentation and the construction of identity. Power, which turns human beings into beings that are fastened, is always behind these dynamics. These dynamics trouble the conceptions people often have about argumentation and identity due to the instability caused by the constant changes which now happen at even faster rates. These fast changes cause that the assimilations and standardizations made from the very logic of language happen at speed that until recently were unthinkable, and they influence the configuration of our identity. The authors conclude that man can escape the power which holds him back by means of literature which appears as an alternative for argumentation and construction of sense
