Abstract
CARDOZO GONZALEZ, Santiago. La lutte continue: From the Past to the Present, in a Bus. Folios [online]. 2021, n.54, pp.51-60. Epub Dec 01, 2022. ISSN 0123-4870. https://doi.org/10.17227/folios.54-12087.
Taking into account the line of research that I assumed in my doctoral thesis, where I investigated the mythification of Artigas (uruguayan national hero) in several school handbooks of History from 1980 until 2016, this article analyzes the following sentence: It isa musttokeep on fighting, as Artigas said, and also reproduced by a hawker on a bus of the city of Montevideo. The sentence mentioned in this article alludes to other sentences, moreover, it shows that they are connected; the relation between them is controversial, etc., from the moment that is pronounced, as the main effect of sense, the "work identity" of the hawker. In this article it is discussed, to resume, the problems of the effects and meanings that are provoked in the game -as a dialogue- where it is said the own thing besides what the other said, the connection between the sentence of the hawker and the evocation of the history as a discourse that comes into sight to produce the effects named.
Keywords : discourse; history; national identity; subject.
