Abstract
ARIAS-GOMEZ, Diego Hernán. School Students' Memories of Colombia's Recent Past. Folios [online]. 2022, n.56, pp.109-124. Epub Nov 10, 2022. ISSN 0123-4870. https://doi.org/10.17227/folios.56-12874.
This article presents part of the results of an investigation focused on analyzing the memories of eighth and tenth-grade students from Bogotá on the Colombian armed conflict in recent decades, especially the origins, actors, and consequences for society. From a qualitative perspective, methodologically, questionnaires, story construction, and virtual interviews were used. Among the most important results is the persistence of official reports that centrally blame the guerrillas as responsible for the tragedies suffered by the country to the detriment of other armed actors, such as the paramilitaries and the public force. At the same time, the gaze on the past that young people make permanently connects with an assessment of an unfortunate, hopeless, and depoliticized present.
