Abstract

GONZALEZ F., Harold  and  FUENTES M., Natalia. Mechanism of action of five plan growth promoters microorganism. Rev. Cienc. Agr. [online]. 2017, vol.34, n.1, pp.17-31. ISSN 0120-0135.  https://doi.org/10.22267/rcia.173401.61.

The indiscriminate use of agrochemicals to increase productivity of crops are not friendly practices environmentally talking. As a strategy to avoid the use of agricultural chemicals is the bioinoculation of plant growth promoting microorganisms. In this context, the objective of this research was to evaluate the effect of plant growth promoter of five strains of microorganisms on six plants. A fungus (Trichoderma harzianum) and a group of bacteria (Enterobacter aerogenes, Azotobacter sp., mycoides Bacillus and Microbacterium sp.) was selected to evaluate the effect of germination, growth and assimilation in plants of cassava Manihot esculenta, rice Oryza sativa, sunflower Helianthus annuus, peas Pisum sativum L., lettuce Lactuca sativa L. and papaya Carica papaya L. To the assembling of the bioassay was available 18 pots for each plant, each treatment was performed in triplicate including control. The inoculum was prepared by seeding an aliquot of each microorganism in 200mL of nutrient broth, and this 20mL is added to each pot per treatment. The following variables were evaluated: number and length of roots, leaves and stems; leaf area and root biomass and stem. The bioinoculation of Microbacterium sp. and B.mycoides accelerated the germination of plants regardless of species. Treatments Azotobacter sp., T. harzianum and E. aerogenes were not effective in cassava and rice. The bioinoculation of Microbacterium sp., B. mycoides and E. aerogenes favored the growth, development and yield of rice and peas.

Keywords : Bioinoculum; inoculum; germination; development.
