Abstract

GLOZMAN, Mara. Corporatism, Cultural Policy and Linguistic Regulation: Argentinean Academy of Letters Creation. Leng. [online]. 2013, vol.41, n.2, pp.455-478. ISSN 0120-3479.

This paper studies -from a glottopolitic and discursive perspective- the purposes, objectives and political conditions that motivated the creation of the Argentinean Academy of Letters in 1931, through the first Argentinean military government decree. Thus, this work aims to analyse the relation between the language and the cultural representations expressed in the academy foundational documents and the discursive orientations that legitimated the general political and institutional project in which the academy was created

Keywords : Argentinean Academy of Letters; corporatism; linguistic regulation; cultural policy; Glottopolitics; Discourse Analyses.
