Abstract
INSUASTY, Edgar Alirio and ZAMBRANO, Lilian Cecilia. Reflective Supervision Experiences in the Teaching Practicum. Leng. [online]. 2014, vol.42, n.2, pp.389-414. ISSN 0120-3479.
This article reports the results of a study which was aimed at appraising the effects of a reflexive supervision proposal on the improvement of the teaching practicum feedback process of a foreign language program of a public university. The data gathering and data analysis procedures involved in Action Research were taken into account to carry out the present study. Throughout the intervention, meaningful changes in the way practicum advisors implemented different types of feedback were evidenced. Moreover, the perceptions of both practicum advisors and student teachers, allowed to determine how important it is to give and receive feedback aimed not only at informing what happened in the classroom, but also to create a space to reflect upon their teaching practice. In this way, student teachers can be empowered as reflective practitioners and encouraged to be the supporters of their own professional development
