Abstract

This paper summarizes the results of the research project called: "Language Competences: relationships between school and state tests", whose objectives were: to identify the language skills assessed in five Capital District institutions and establish its relationship with the test results ICFES - 2010. The study allowed to characterize the assessment approaches used by teachers of the subject, known in the country as Spanish language and literature class, within five schools in the Capital District of Bogotá. Besides, it got academic performance characterization of their students, according to information provided by the database Saber 112010 and the results of evaluations conducted by each institution
