Abstract

ALVAREZ, Graciela Uribe; HOYOS, Edwin Leandro Parra  and  ZAMBRANO-VALENCIA, Juan David. Production of essays and informative articles in Spanish language subjects: Implications in teacher training. Leng. [online]. 2019, vol.47, n.2, suppl.1, pp.569-598. ISSN 0120-3479.  https://doi.org/10.25100/lenguaje.v47i3.6980.

This research study focuses on the question: How to optimize the teaching and learning processes of writing competence of students from a Literature and Spanish Language program, around discursive genres characteristic of the argumentative and expository texts? To answer it, we chose a qualitative approach supported by the action research method. We carried out interventions in two groups of students of fifth and ninth semester. Both groups have in common that they are trained for professional practice in elementary and secondary education. We concluded that teachers in training manage to plan, execute and evaluate effective texts for their specific classroom environments. Besides, we created an Open Digital Educational Resource (Expoargumentar) for helping future teachers design proposals for intervention based on the development of writing competences.

Keywords : writing competence; essays; disclosure articles; teacher training; new technologies; pedagogical practice; expository and argumentative texts.
