Abstract

CARDENAS TAMARA, Felipe. Dis (Order) and Dominant Political Signs of the Colombian Ex President Álvaro Uribe Vélez. Estud. Polit. [online]. 2013, n.42, pp.85-111. ISSN 0121-5167.

The paper makes an analysis of the discursive field of the former Colombian President Alvaro Uribe Vélez (AUV). Based on a qualitative methodology of discourse analysis, the research process develops the construction of hermeneutic units of interpretation, looks to identify the experience of order of AUV. The research question is related to the identification of the signical contents connoted in the political representation of reality and how they have influenced the formation of the political field of the nation, as enunciatively modalities with the power of changing the reality of Colombia. This article correlates the discursive process with the imagination and social representations emanating from certain political groups that share the ideology of AUV; the study confirms that the political discourse in question is anchored in neoliberalism and that AUV distorts the fundamental conceptual axes of the Social State of Law notion, embedded in the constitutional system of Colombia. The effects of the discourse of AUV are related with the construction of the notion of security, tied primarily with police force actions and a militaristic view.
