The recent sociohistorical context of Colombia is immersed in various social problems such as inequality, poverty, corruption, the murder of social leaders and a high perception of insecurity. This article presents the results obtained from two studies conducted in different time periods (2017 and 2021) in which the social anomie perception scale (PAS) and the insecurity scale were applied in two groups of participants: young people (18 to 25 years) and intermediate adults (40 to 49 years) in the city of Bogota, Colombia. The type of study was descriptive and comparative. The total sample was of 371 persons, with female participation prevailing in both years with about 65%. Descriptive statistics, correlations, regression and comparison are presented, associated with the results of the 2017 and 2021 study. It is found that there are significant differences, being the rupture of the social fabric (RTS) higher in 2017 and the perception of insecurity higher in 2021. Likewise, in both years, women perceived greater insecurity than men.
