Abstract

QUIROZ CARVAJAL, Jorge Alonso  and  VERA ACEVEDO, Luz Dinora. Corporate Environmental Ethics and Green Innovation: A Comparative Case Study of Manufacturing Companies in Colombia. Rev.fac.cienc.econ. [online]. 2023, vol.31, n.1, pp.137-152.  Epub Oct 23, 2023. ISSN 0121-6805.  https://doi.org/10.18359/rfce.6715.

The absolute growth limits evident in the current climate crisis constrain companies in new competitive scenarios. Corporate green rationality is increasingly emphasized in organizational strategic matters. The objective of this article is to conduct a qualitative analysis that comparatively explains the theoretical-practical relationships found regarding the concepts of Corporate Environmental Ethics (CEE) and Green Innovation (GI) in two Colombian manufacturing companies. Empirical results show that both companies exhibit a strong alignment with the theoretical dimensions of each construct. However, there are differences in methodological and cultural aspects. In conclusion, green rationality within companies contributes to generating added value, enhancing corporate image, and achieving higher levels of competitiveness.
