Abstract
CISNEROS, Estefany R.; GIL, Javier R. and PEREZ, Sócrates M.. Structural health of buildings using BIM technology: Literature review. Ing. compet. [online]. 2023, vol.25, n.1, e-30111765. Epub Dec 30, 2022. ISSN 0123-3033. https://doi.org/10.25100/iyc.v25i1.11765.
A literature review was conducted regarding the use of technology applying structural health monitoring and maintenance allowing researchers to visualize and document results using BIM technology as a powerful tool, with the objective of estimating tools that are widely used in the architecture, engineering and construction sector through wireless sensors and the use of 3D modeling. Due to the combination of the results of structural health monitoring (SHM) and BIM technology, 80 articles indexed in the database: Scopus, Ebsco, Scielo and Science Direct, from the years 2016 - 2021 were reviewed, the following keywords were used for the information search: Structural health and BIM technology, Structural Health in building and Bim, Properties of recycled concrete, Health and buildings, Building and bim technology, Structural health in buildings, structural health of buildings through bim. Subject area filters were used such as: Engineering, Engineering and Building. Concluding that the current knowledge how to integrate BIM and SHM allows an improvement during the life cycle in a building, using software in real projects simultaneously is the support to establish the situation, the capacity and to estimate the duration in the structure.
Keywords : buildings; BIM; structural health; 3D model; wireless sensors.
