This article analyzes entrepreneurship-linked productive experiences of people targeted by social-economic policies in irregular settlements in the city of Rosario, Argentina. Based on an ethnographic study that combined indepth interviews, participant observation, and analysis of biographical narratives that allowed me to understand the meanings, values, practices, and meanings produced by entrepreneurial people, I examine the implementation of the policies of the Secretaría de Economía Social of Rosario; I describe the traits and productive structures of the enterprises; and finally, I delve into the meanings, practices and reappropriations of the recipients of the state proposals.
