Abstract
LONDONO, María Carlota et al. Aplicación del modelo diagnóstico del grupo internacional para la hepatitis autoinmune (GIHA) en una población de pacientes de Medellín, Colombia. Rev Col Gastroenterol [online]. 2003, vol.18, n.1, pp.16-19. ISSN 0120-9957.
Objective: to evaluate the applicability of the scoring system proposed by the International Autoimmune Hepatitis Group (IAHG). Methods: retrospective, non-analytical trial in 28 patients with diagnosis of autoimmune hepatitis (AIH), at two university hospitals at Medellín city. Results: we analyzed 28 patients with diagnosis of AIH. According to 1992´s pre-treatment scoring system, 25% had definitive diagnosis of AIH and 53% probable diagnosis. With the revised scoring system, 14% had definitive diagnosis and 64% probable diagnosis. In both systems 22% of the patient didn´t meet the criteria to classify as AIH. The agreement between clinical diagnosis and IAHG scoring system was 78.5% both score systems. Conclusions: both score systems are useful for autoimmune hepatitis diagnosis. Revised scoring system was more specific in our study.
