SUAREZ MANRIQUE, Wilson Yesid; DE LEON VARGAS, Georgina Isabel  and  MONSALVE PINTO, John Jairo. An Analysis on The Applicability of Artificial Intelligence in Colombian Law. Prolegómenos [online]. 2023, vol.26, n.52, pp.11-23.  Epub Dec 15, 2023. ISSN 0121-182X.  https://doi.org/10.18359/prole.5625.

The application of artificial intelligence (AI) to law presents profound advantages and challenges. In the judicial realm, the main structural paradoxes leading to judicial delays and questioning of the internal and external foundations of judicial decisions can be effectively managed through algorithms. This article focuses on the application of artificial intelligence to law in the process of legal proceedings, the practice and evaluation of evidence, and legal argumentation. From this perspective, it seeks to determine and assess the implications of artificial intelligence for the resolution of tutelage cases, with the fundamental right to effective judicial protection as a reference point.

Keywords : New Technologies; Artificial Intelligence; Tutelage; Legal Argumentation; Effective Judicial Protection.
