The purpose of this article was to study the typology of harms caused due to copyright infringement in Colombia. The research was conducted using a qualitative and descriptive methodology, incorporating a deductive analysis of legal sources, jurisprudence, and doctrinal works. The study concluded that the harm arises from the violation of the exclusive rights held by the copyright holder, leading to various forms of harm, including immaterial, material, or loss of opportunity. The quantification of these harms depends on the specific typology involved.
