Abstract
SCHMIDT HERNANDEZ, Ludwig. QUESTIONS ABOUT THE COMPREHENSION OF LIFE: A DIALOGUE AMONG THE CHURCH'S SOCIAL DOCTRINE AND BIOETHICS. rev.latinoam.bioet. [online]. 2010, vol.10, n.1, pp.66-83. ISSN 1657-4702.
In a first approach to life, we see the need for interdisciplinarity and transdisciplinarity in the construction of such a fundamental issue and polysemic: life. This is key as Potter said, must begin with the establishment of "bridges" between the humanities and sciences, with a view to the survival of humanity. The conception to converge to a "universal" conceptual discipline within the spectrum is not feasible. The synthesis will be done through a holistic process and "collimation" from philosophical visions, legal and theological life, from an "ethic of the top" defined by the Social Doctrine of the Church and an "ethic of lows from the perspective of Bioethics and Human Rights principles. Interpreted life in a pluralistic world (multicultural, multiethnic, multidisciplinary) requires the establishment of a similar referential horizon, to allow this to develop in different approaches to the ontological status, epistemological, ethical, legal and theological and thence to a concept "universal" human life in general.
