Abstract

In this paper, notarial and countable documents of Hacienda la Morela, as well as correspondence of Escobar Villegas family from 1870 to 1988 are analyzed. Based on document collection, the author studies the participation of the members of this family in several entrepreneurial societies that formed in livestock business, as well as some factors that influenced the business developed among Medellin, Puerto Berrio, and Valle del Sinú, during most of the XXth century.
