Abstract

DE LA MAZA, LUIS MARIANO. (TIME AND HISTORY IN THE HEGEL'S PHENOMENOLOGY OF SPIRIT). Ideas y Valores [online]. 2007, vol.56, n.133, pp.3-22. ISSN 0120-0062.

Abstract: This article offers an interpretation of Hegel's fundamental thesis in the Phenomenology of spirit about the relationship between time, history and speculative philosophy or science. For Hegel the formation of individual consciousness is connected with the universal history, and the concept of history is inseparable of the concept of spirit. Different senses of time in the Phenomenology are distinguished, and one of them, the phenomenologicconceptual organization, becomes special attention. Finally, some thoughts are given on the more general question of the relationship between philosophy and temporality from an actual point of view.

Keywords : Hegel; Phenomenology of Spirit; Time; History; Consciousness.
