Abstract

BOSCH, MAGDALENA. SPIRITUAL CAPITAL: NOVELTY AND TRADITION. Ideas y Valores [online]. 2015, vol.64, n.157, pp.37-52. ISSN 0120-0062.  https://doi.org/10.15446/ideasyvalores.v64n157.38061.

The article analyzes the most relevant versions of spiritual capital, the aspects they share, and the way in which some of them are linked to religion while others are not. It describes the multidimensional nature of the notion, which leads to a theory of profound motivation that is strongly rooted in the person. This intrinsic dimension of motivation proves to be decisive for ethical theories of virtue inspired in Aristotle, which emphasize the internal aspect of behavior.

Keywords : Aristotle; spiritual capital; ethics; virtue.
