Abstract

RUBIO, Roberto. The regent philosophy of the image a critical analysis of the current debate and a consideration of possible contributions. Ideas y Valores [online]. 2017, vol.66, n.163, pp.273-298. ISSN 0120-0062.  https://doi.org/10.15446/ideasyvalores.v66n163.51068.

The central debate in the field of philosophy of mage concerns the opposition between a semiotic approach, which considers images to be a certain type of signs, and a conceptualist approach, focused on the apprehension an images and its relation to sensory perception. The article points out some of the difficulties of this formulation and analyzes Heidegger's hermeneutical approach and ontology of the image in order to show how it can contribute to enriching the debate and even modify its guiding question.

Keywords : M. Heidegger; hermeneutics; image.
