Abstract
DIONISIO, Jefferson. The Concept of Body Through Soul in Plotinus: A Positive Assessment. Prax. filos. [online]. 2022, n.55, pp.189-206. Epub Sep 26, 2022. ISSN 0120-4688. https://doi.org/10.25100/pfilosofica.v0i55.12076.
In the Enneades, Plotinus traces his vision of the soul and the body. There is a traditional reading of Plotinus, which finds in the thinker a devaluation of the body; This reading is based on the leading role that the soul has in relation to the body in Plotinian thought, and on the literal interpretation of the thinker's text; but it is possible to draw a positive assessment of the body in the thinker. The objective of this work is to delimit the concept of the body in Plotinus, understanding that it has its indisputable importance and positive assessment in the text of the neoplatonic philosopher.
