Abstract

PINEIRO-OTERO, Teresa. Radio in Communicative Research in Spain: A Minority Line for a Majority Media. Signo pensam. [online]. 2016, vol.35, n.69, pp.30-48. ISSN 0120-4823.  https://doi.org/10.11144/Javeriana.syp35-69.rice.

During recent years communicative research has undergone an exponential expansion due to the changes that have occurred in the academy. As revealed by studies on communicative meta-research, this has not been a homogeneous expansion, but instead has strengthened certain lines of research at the expense of other. In this regard, this work carries out a longitudinal analysis of the academic production on radio as published in Spanish communication journals. It is a bibliometric multidimensional study, as it focuses from a critical perspective on the authorship, the type of theoretical-methodological orientation of the articles, and the most common topics for Spanish radio research. In order to complement said analysis we included the opinions and perceptions of some of the main Spaniard researchers in the context of the radio studies; for this purpose we used a questionnaire as the data collection technique.

Keywords : radio; radio communication; bibliometric research; communicative meta-research; Spain.
