Abstract
DUQUE,, Pedro; TREJOS,, Damiand; HOYOS,, Oscar and MESA, Juan Carlos Chica. Corporate Finances and Sustainability: a Biometrical Analysis and Trends Identification. Semest. Econ. [online]. 2021, vol.24, n.56, pp.25-51. Epub Aug 12, 2022. ISSN 0120-6346. https://doi.org/10.22395/seec.v24n56a1.
The rapid environmental deterioration, the growing social inequality, and the frequent economic crisis have made society and especially the companies, change their behaviors and become increasingly aware of their sustainability role, all this without leaving aside their economic interests. Due to the growing academic and professional attention to these issues, this research aims to conduct a literature review based on a scientific mapping of the link between corporate finance and sustainability. To this end, a search was made of the scientific production registered in WoS and Scopus over the last two decades. Using bibliometric tools and network analysis, the subject's current state and its knowledge structure are presented. Three emerging research currents are identified: Sustainability and Financial Performance, Financial Results of Corporate Social Responsibility, and Sustainability Reports and Assessments. Finally, an agenda for future research is presented.
