this work aims to analyze the possibility of indemnifying the time wasted by the consumer due to the supplier's misconduct by making it impossible or difficult to repair the defect in the product or service, which the doctrine called "deviation of the consumer's productive time", and the resulting duty to repair. The deductive method was adopted, starting from the fundamental right to consumer protection and one of its corollaries, the principle of consumer vulnerability, arriving at the supplier's responsibility for placing defective products and services in the consumer market, and at the end, the duty to repair is verified due to the time taken by the consumer and the failure to solve the problem, due to the exclusive negligence of the supplier.
