Abstract
HUBERT, Matthieu; L’HOSTE, Ana Spivak and BURTON, Bárbara. The Technoscientific Convergence and its Political, Institutional, Professional, and Organizational translations. Nómadas [online]. 2021, n.55, pp.45-61. Epub Aug 16, 2022. ISSN 0121-7550. https://doi.org/10.30578/nomadas.n55a3.
The article addresses the technoscientific convergence in the case of nanoscience and nanotechnology in Argentina. Based on empirical materials, it delves into how such convergence translates into the design of new techno-scientific research and innovation policy devices, as well as the progressive and partial redefinition of the professional identities of scientists, among other results. The authors conclude that limiting the convergence to an epistemic process of rapprochement among various areas of knowledge makes it difficult to highlight the importance of political, professional, and organizational dimensions when assessing the reality of convergence in each national context.
