Abstract

PEREZ PINZON, Luís Rubén. What did Bicentennial of the Independence of Colombia leave to regional historiography? The Socorro and socorranos resignification. Anu.hist.reg.front. [online]. 2011, vol.16, n.1, pp.331-352. ISSN 0122-2066.

This article demonstrates from the historical representations, the didactic approaches and the artistic creations, the historic role that the actions carried out by both people from Socorro in 1871 and the illustrated individuals in 1810, still have in the pro-independent imaginary of Santander's people. These practices are evidenced in cultural products such as historical review academic projects, the new historiography produced by students and professors of undergraduate and postgraduate programs, and even, the significant experiences of educational institutions when adopting the themes and problems associated with the bicentennial of independence as a reference for review, projection and transformation of the patriotic regional imaginary.
