Abstract

MORAN FIGUEROA, Julio César  and  AYVAR CAMPOS, Francisco Javier. Municipal efficiency and public services in Michoacán, Mexico. Rev.econ.inst. [online]. 2020, vol.22, n.43, pp.277-299.  Epub Feb 03, 2021. ISSN 0124-5996.  https://doi.org/10.18601/01245996.v20n43.12.

This document addresses the use of resources for local public services in the state of Michoacán, Mexico, in 2014. The state of production is analyzed through its inputs (resources) and outputs (public services). The results show that only twenty-two municipalities were efficient in the provision of public services. Although the financial resources for the local governements have increased, these resources are employed inefficiently.
