Abstract
DA COSTA LIMA, Thales Abreu; DA GAMA AFONSO, Herlander Costa Alegre and VALENTE FERREIRA, Julio Cesar. DEVELOPMENT OF MICROENTERPRISES IN THE CULTURAL SECTOR IN THE METROPOLITAN REGION OF RIO DE JANEIRO. Tend. [online]. 2023, vol.24, n.2, pp.1-27. Epub July 10, 2023. ISSN 0124-8693. https://doi.org/10.22267/rtend.232402.226.
The cultural sector represents almost 3% of the Brazilian GDP, and employs 5.5 million workers, part of whom work informally and are "invisible" in the eyes of the State. Microenterprises in the field of culture are a source of innovation based on local cultural potential. The objective of this research is to provide training based on a business education strategy for cultural microentrepreneurs in the State of Rio de Janeiro, with the aim of generating new business and income opportunities. The research includes the following methodological steps/phases: Phase 1 comprises an analysis of data from the NaProCult organization; in Phase 2, training was developed, validated by a panel of specialists; in Phase 3, an action research was carried out to carry out the training, whose results were evaluated in Phase 4, through a survey. The results show that culture makers have little access to education focused on their ventures, such as frameworks that propose new forms of management for the current job market.
