Abstract
JURADO ZAMBRANO, Diego Armando; MOSQUERA CARRASCAL, Adriana and ESPINAL MARULANDA, John. RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT AND INNOVATION IN THE PUBLIC SECTOR: A LITERATURE REVIEW. Tend. [online]. 2023, vol.24, n.2, pp.197-230. Epub June 08, 2023. ISSN 0124-8693. https://doi.org/10.22267/rtend.232402.233.
In order to be efficient, public administration requires changing the bureaucratic scheme for a managerial one, therefore, the adoption of innovative organizational practices is essential. In this sense, a literature review is carried out that aims to identify the relationships studied between knowledge management and innovation in the public sector, as well as the research trends that involve them. The research is developed under a qualitative approach and its scope is descriptive; the study considered a group of articles identified in the scopus database and others were added for consideration by the authors of the document. The results show a low number of documents that deal with studying the relationship between both themes. In the identified articles, the existence of a close relationship of knowledge management as a determinant for public innovation is evidenced, specifically from the knowledge transfer process. It is concluded that this field of study is prolific, with abundant opportunities to investigate and understand knowledge management and innovation in the public sector, given its particularities; Likewise, the need to link these fields of knowledge with topics of current debate, such as living labs, the technologies of the fourth industrial revolution, governance and citizen participation, was identified.
