Abstract

BAZURTO-BARRAGAN, Henry David  and  HIGUERA-RAMIREZ, Diana Yuneiry. Ethical Conceptions in University Professors and Their Influence in Higher Education. Av. Psicol. Latinoam. [online]. 2021, vol.39, n.3, e208.  Epub July 02, 2022. ISSN 1794-4724.  https://doi.org/10.12804/revistas.urosario.edu.co/apl/a.10324.

The general objective of this research was to identify the predominant conception of ethics in the Professors of the Faculty of Psychology of the Konrad Lorenz University Foundation and to understand the meaning it has for the personal life of the students. The research used a mixed methodology: a sequential transformative design (DITRAS). Among the main results, it was found that the predominant ethical conception in teachers was the virtue ethic even though the differences were not statistically significant. On the other hand, it was possible to establish that the behavioral coherence of the teachers (discourse and acts) in the course and the recognition of bilateral respect (teacher-student and viceversa) can operate as facilitating elements in the learning of ethics.
