Abstract

PETIT, LUCRECIA. IDENTITY AND BELONGING: THE ACTIONS OF ADOLESCENTS AS PROMOTERS OF INDIGENOUS RIGHTS IN THE MARIANO EPULEF MAPUCHE COMMUNITY. CS [online]. 2013, n.11, pp.143-176. ISSN 2011-0324.  https://doi.org/10.18046/recs.i11.1569.

This article evaluates the development of a community intervention undertaken in a Mapuche community in Argentina guided by the principles of community psychology. Based on the implementation of a variety of workshops and activities with members of the community, the objectives of this process were the reaffirmation of identities and the strengthening of a sense of belonging to the community. The evaluation of this intervention takes into account a series of questions related to the possibility of promoting social change through initiatives that involve reflection and self-reflection and related to the role of the psychologist in these types of social dynamics.
