This paper analyzes the results of the implementation of a community intervention device, consisting of a radio program created by psychiatric patients, in the field of mental health in Mexico. To this end, it will reflect on the way that the model of mental health in this country has traditionally been led and managed, as well as the effects of this model on the health of psychiatric patients. It will additionally describe the operation and organization of the device in question, presenting the results in four dimensions related to mental health patients: the layout of relationship bonds, the development of expressive and communicative abilities, subjective positioning, and inclusion.
