Abstract

This paper shows the results of a research which aimed at determining the effectiveness of an educational support program related to the language aesthetics: poetry. By using the quantitative approach with a quasi - experimental design, two groups (experimental and control) were measured with a pre-test and post-test, and results were compared. Significant improvements were found in three levels of writings A, B, and D (local coherence, global and pragmatic), the experimental group was compared with the control group, performing post-analysis of the scores between the two groups, where a significant improvement was shown in experimental group. From the results we can work the alternative hypothesis: the implementation of an educational support program related to the language aesthetics: Poetry, is a significant contribution in the development of a higher level in the writing competence.
